Installation of Exchange Server 2013 on Windows Server 2008 R2

 

So in last post we have seen Exchange Server 2013 Installation in Unattended Mode

 

Today in this post we’ll see in GUI Mode and Exchange in Mixed environment.

2 Exchange Servers ( Exch 2007 & Exch 2013)

 

Prerequisites-Installation-of-Exchange-Server-2013-Unattended-Mode for quick check

 

Make sure that you have all the required prerequisites installed in your Machine.

 

Launch the Control Panel -> Programs and Features and see if all the prerequisites are updated.

 

Note : After installing the Microsoft Unified Communications Managed API 4.0 installed you will see C++ update also installed. Please select and Un-Install

Please download the Exchange Server 2013 from the below link

 

Exchange Server 2013 SP1

 

Mount the Disk and extract to folder and Run the Setup.

Choose Next

Initializing Setup Choose Next

Welcome Screen and Introduction Choose Next

Accepting the License Terms Choose Next

Selecting the Server Roles based on your requirement.

Here in Exchange Server 2013 we have only 2 Roles

Mailbox

Client Access Role

Specifying the Installation Space and Location

Malware Setting will be the Next option, need to have Internet to have the updates. Either you can go with Yes if wish or No if you don’t want. Here in my scenario I have selected No as I don’t want the update as of now.

Choose Next it will take you to Readiness Check. This is for Configuring prerequisites.

Choose next to have Prerequisites Analysis Screen

It might prompt for the Warning as found the Organization, yes it will because as I said it’s Mixed environment.

Choose Next. Now the Setup begins.

Restart the Server

 

Launch the Exchange Admin Center.
