403 Access Denied Exchange Server 2013

From the last few months we are working on Office 365, Upgrading the Legacy versions of Exchange Servers. And did not get chance to look into Exchange Server 2013

Today when tried logging into the Server and seen strange Issue “403 Access Denied

ECP1-403

Tried to open EMS and OWA able to open but the only problem is with ECP.

Checked the event id and found the below event as shown below:

Event id 4 & 16

Note: My Computer Name is EXCH2K10

ECP2-403

Checked the permissions from the command using the below Command

gpresult /Scope Computer /r

ECP3-403

The above info shows that all the “Exchange Trusted Subsystem” group was already been added to the “Domain Admins” group

This made me to think and realize that the I might be typing the wrong password. Because the Password has been changed for the “Domain Controller“.

So when I tried with the right password this time I’m able to login to Exchange Control Panel.

Sometimes we might be panic and we will not follow the basic troubleshooting which will turn and have to come across different scenario all together :).
